What happened on Day Two of #TTF15

Ticketing Technology Forum 2015 draws to a close… and what a couple of days it has been.

We’ve seen the latest trends and innovations, heard from some of the biggest players in the industry (and those to watch in the future).

We hope everyone has had an enjoyable time with us at Wembley and we look forward to welcoming you all back in 2016.

What happened on Day Two?

Steve Machin, Founder, Accent Media (DOTtickets) opened Day Two of the Forum. He delved into his newest venture, setting up the new website domain – .tickets (DOTtickets). Steve is establishing a ticket website domain that people can trust to buy tickets for events.

Next, delegates were treated to a Panel Discussion on Dynamic Pricing and Demand-Based Pricing. Panelists included: Thomas Wickell (Malmo Opera), Soenke Scobel (Stage Entertainment), Julian Jenkins (Servette FC) and Dan Eastmond (Firestation Arts Centre). Does dynamic pricing work for everyone? Four case studies of success were shared by our panelists.

Julian Jenkins, CEO, Servette FC, returned to the stage to give us a ‘different view on ticketing’. “Ticketing is not operations… it’s about making magical moments for customers.”

After some morning coffee and networking in the marketplace, the audience was split for specialist parallel sessions. Delegates took their pick from: API Integration Portals, Direct to Fan, Systems and Data/Analytics.

This lead us into lunch, and the opportunity to catch up with peers from around the world, and even meet and make new contacts.

After lunch, a Panel Discussion delving into new venues and new opportunities for ticketing. Eric Solem (AS Roma) and Kinglsey Jayasekera (West Kowloon Cultural District Authority) explained how their ticketing system plans are progressing ahead of their big openings.

In the penultimate session of the day, Robert Richards (Glastonbury Festival) and James Condliffe (See Tickets) took us through coping with high demand ticketing sales.

Last but by no means least, Bernie Mullin and Michael Farris (Aspire Group) explored the future and what might disrupt and revolutionise the ticketing industry.

That’s all for this year. Please keep in touch, and feel free to ask us any questions here

Any photos from the Forum, we’d love to see them! Share them on Twitter #TTF15
